Philadelphian artist Jesse Hale Moore cut his teeth playing in a string of other bands - including Secretly Canadian-signed outfit, Nightlands - but 'Every Time' is the first opportunity we've had to hear one of his solo works. Produced by The War On Drugs bassist, and former Nightlands head honcho, Dave Hartley, 'Every Time' spans the gutsy Americana of Ryan Adams, the lush indie rock of The War On Drugs, and more pertinently, the soulful, gossamer R&B popularized by How To Dress Well and James Blake. We should be even more thankful for the success of TWOD for drawing these two talents away from their previous day job. - DC
